Cultural Immersion provides students an opportunity to learn about and experience another culture. Studying in a different environment allows students to experience new customs, values, and lifestyles. Cultural immersion trips allow students to:
• build new relationships and participate in a new community
• learn about the Christian tradition within the context of a new culture
• communicate with and relate to people from other cultures
• engage in diverse religious and spiritual experiences
Appalachian Immersion
Students will have the opportunity to experience mountain culture and spirituality in the hills of Eastern Kentucky through interaction with an Appalachian family. The trip will take place during the College’s spring break, March 6-11, 2012. Learn more about Appalachian Immersion.
Cherokee Immersion
Students will experience first-hand the rich, yet tragic history of the Cherokee people in North Carolina. The trip will take place during the College’s spring break, March 6-11, 2012. Learn more about Cherokee Immersion.
Lakota Immersion
Students will have the opportunity to learn from the Lakota Sioux Plains Indians about their culture and spirituality. The trip will take place during the College’s summer break, March 14-25, 2012. Learn more about Lakota Immersion.
Rome, Italy Immersion

Ireland Immersion
