Biography: Dr. Martin is a professor in the Department of Athletic Training. She primarily teaches orthopedic assessment and pathopharmacology. Before coming to the College, Professor Martin was awarded an Ed.D. and master's degree from the University of South Carolina, where she also earned a post-graduate certification in alcohol and drug studies, and a B.S. from Indiana State University.
Dr. Martin plays an integral role in the publishing of athletic training scholarly materials. She serves as a chief section editor for Athletic Therapy Today, section editor for the Journal of Athletic Training, and is on the editorial board for Athletic Training Education Journal. She is also a site visitor for the Commission on the Accreditation of Athletic Training Education Programs and is a nationally known speaker and author.
On the clinical level, Dr. Martin has primarily been involved with NCAA Division I sports programs and has also served with the United States Olympic Committee.
