The College Level Examination Program (CLEP) is a national program offering a variety of standardized tests to earn college credit. CLEP exams are taken pass/fail.
All CLEP test fees are $77.00. The testing center may charge a registration fee. Check with the testing centers to verify costs, payment options and cancellation policies.

Students must bring two forms of identification. Primary must be a government-issued photo ID (driver's license, passport or state ID). The secondary ID must have a signature or photo on it (student/college ID, Social Security card, credit card, etc.) .
CLEP - Additional Information for Mount students
- Traditional students are required to obtain permission from their academic advisors before registering for the exam.
- All students are limited to one CLEP examination in their final semester at the College of Mount St. Joseph. The CLEP examination must be completed by the fifth week of a student's final semester in their degree program.
- Students should follow the registration and testing procedures as outlined by the Mount, NKU, Raymond Walters, or Thomas More testing centers.
- Before taking an exam consult the publication, CLEP Official Study Guide, on reserve in the Mount Library or visit www.collegeboard.com/clep for detailed information on each test.
- A handout detailing the CLEP process is available at the Career and Experiential Education Center in Seton Center or at the Service Desk in the Administration Lobby.
- CLEP's policy requires that students who fail an exam wait a minimum of six months before repeating the exam.
