MAGELIN: Master's Graduate Entry-Level into Nursing (formerly known as MN) is for individuals with a non-nursing baccalaureate degree who want to enter the nursing profession. This accelerated, pre-licensure graduate program can be completed in 15 months (four consecutive semesters).
As part of the Mount's MSN degree program, MAGELIN is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Most of the Mount's graduates from MAGELIN work as a bedside nurse upon completion of the program. Others have achieved leadership positions or have earned an advanced practice degree in nursing.
Upon completion of MAGELIN, students earn a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree and are prepared to take the NCLEX-RN.This program began at the Mount in 2004. As of 2011, it has has achieved a five-year NCLEX-RN pass rate of 99.3 percent.

Catherine Relihan Scholarship
The Catherine Relihan Scholarship is awarded to one student each year who enters the MAGELIN program (formerly known as MN). The scholarship is $5,000 to be distributed over the 4 semesters of the program. Learn more.
Robert Wood Johnson Scholarships for Master of Nursing Program
The Robert Wood Johnson New Careers in Nursing Scholarship will be awarded to ten students who enter the MAGELIN program (formerly known as MN) in May, 2012. The scholarships are $10,000 each. Preference will be given to students from groups underrepresented in nursing or from an economically disadvantaged background. Learn more.

Please note: The program requirements for the MAGELIN program are the same as the requirements for the former MN program. The name change (from MN to MAGELIN) will be reflected in the updated Graduate Catalog, scheduled for release in May 2012.
