The Department of Social Work offers a major in social work. The social work major has been accredited by the National Council on Social Work Education (CWSE) since 1991.  

In addition to the major, there is a minor and certificate in both non-profit leadership and gerontology to assist social work students in preparation for their careers. Specifics are listed below.
