i couldn't be more excited about the relationship that is developing between my sister and I. In the last couple years Deirdre and I have grown to the point that we are able to have a conversation with heart and not just because of convenience. When growing up we hadn't developed that sister sister relationship where we could talk about boys, fashion, mtv, or anything. but that's changed now. we don't necessarily talk on a regular basis but its coming to the point that i am able to approach her with confidence and talk to her like we've been not just sisters, but friends for so long. we haven't had much conversation but the few that we have mean more than the world to me. just a couple weeks ago i was home and when i saw her we had just about the best hug ever. this may seem really cheesey, but it made me feel so great for the rest of the weekend and ever since i've felt more secure in our relationship. this really started happenin, though, when she got engaged last October. i saw her name on my caller id and thought - why is deirdre calling me?. i had answered and she said she had a question for me. she asked if i was ready to be a bridesmaid. i was so excited for her!!! i was shocked though that i was asked to be a bridesmaid because we had never even talked about weddings before. but either way i am so excited for it!

just this past weekend i was out with a friend and happened to be partaking in three of deirdre's favorite activities so i couldn't pass up the opportunity to share it with her. shortly after i informed her she decided to share it on her facebook:::

Deirdre: My little sister just sent me the following text: "I'm watching Harry Potter drinking wine and playing balderdash. Proud?" I couldn't be more.
