They’re Back...

“They’rrreeeeeeee bbbaaaccccckkkkkk!!!!!!” (Poltergeist II: The Other Side) And! Cue the music: “dun ta dun dun… dun ta dunnnn dunnnn…” You know? That creepy music that comes on when something bad happens or might happen? Or you could choose the sequence of music from Phantom of the Opera when the curtain is pulled off the chandelier in the beginning of the movie- your choice…

But the point of that is this: the students have returned to the Mount! The halls are filled with noise and the dorms are being lived in again after a month of break (And they probably smell of rotting food)! And what a glorious month off it was! Of course, I didn’t do much but that’s beside the point. :D (That’s a smiley face by the way… Haha)

So I want to welcome back all those students who were here last semester; welcome those who are new to the Mount; extend a welcome to those that may attend the Mount in the future; and wish good luck to those who have left this wonderful school!

This might be strange to you, but, I love college… I’ll admit that. I’m only in my second semester of my freshman year here but I really am having fun. Some people may hate school- especially middle school and high school- but I’m one of those weird people that actually enjoys school.

I actually started to get bored at the end of break! Can you believe that? I wanted to go back but only because you start running out of things to do once your other friends go back- like UD started back the week before us and one of my best friends left so I got bored very quickly…

But I pulled it together and redecorated my room! See… I’m a commuter so my room at home is my space (which is important to any college student), so I wanted it to look more like me and more sophisticated. The stars and pastel paint needed to go and darker, richer blues and browns took its place. It looks a lot better and more like my current self.

Yet college life is starting again. Classes to go to (and finding the new rooms can be a challenge), homework to do- usually reading a chapter out of a textbook every so often (if you even bother to open the book at all), and so many computer games to take part in when in you’re in a particularly boring class… :D (Either that, or having fun talking to people on Facebook or IMing others in other classes… Haha)

But life is back to normal, and for the time being, I’m content with the start of this semester. I hope it brings more memories, more fun times, and more entertainment than I know what to deal with (And of course, I hope to learn something in process)! LOL (And for parents out of the teenager lingo inner circle, LOL is Laugh Out Loud :D ) And no, I didn’t mean that to look like a face, just a smiley and a parentheses… Haha
